Kick Panel Restoration for the new Convert |

To say the kick panels were shot was un
understatement! They just jumped out and said the whole car is junk
to me. So, I set out to clean them up just a bit. Click on the

Step one was to glass bead them and you
can see right away the beaded one on the left had already fixed the
problem by cleaning off all of the decomposed plastic. At that point
I considered just using a vinyl restorer or wax and calling it done,
but decided to apply a vinyl color coat. (Paint) This is shown in
the centre and RH pictures. Next time I get a bit of time I will
vacuum the carpets and give them a shot of color as well. |
